organize the
22nd VERONA MARATHON

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
ATHLETES RESIDENT IN ITALY
Based on the provisions of the rules for the organization of events issued by Fidal, athletes residing in Italy can participate, starting from the PROMISES category (20 years for Runcard members) on the date of the event.

ATHLETES RESIDING ABROAD
Based on the provisions of the rules for the organization of events issued by Fidal, athletes who are not resident in Italy and who have completed the18 years of age (20 years for Runcard members) on the date of the event.

We remind you that to pick up your bib you need to download the CONFIRMATION LETTER which will be sent by mail or will be downloadable from the tds.sport website
GUIDE TO VERIFY YOUR MEMBERSHIP

Press your confirmation letter (available in the week of the event).
IMPORTANT
The CONFIRMATION LETTER will be available only for registered athletes who will result REGULAR with their membership.
VERIFY REGISTRATION
The bib will be delivered upon presentation of the printed CONFIRMATION LETTER and can be collected at
the EXPO area - AGSM forum (Piazzale Azzurri d'Italia).
WITHDRAWAL WITH PROXY
The collection can also take place by proxy by presenting the following documents:

The TECHNICAL GADGET will be delivered to the rerace bib pull.

BIB WITHDRAWAL
To access the grid you need to show up 20 minutes before from the departure time to check the bib number.
You can find the starting grid on the tuor bib.
IMPORTANT: Athletes who start in grids other than those assigned will not be classified.

STARTING GRIDS
RACE SERVICES INFORMATION
The WARDROBE SERVICE will be available to all athletes in competitive competitions.
You can deposit your backpack in the trucks in the departure/arrival area.
RULES FOR WARDROBE SERVICE
Use backpacks with the NECESSARY for the ride (spare clothing, spare shoes, towel,...)

DO NOT INSERT VALUABLES (The organization is not liable in case of theft or aggravating circumstances)
ATTENTION: the staff reserves the right to accept or not the bag delivered by you if the dimensions are too large for collection.
We use small backpacks for the respect of all competitors and staff
WARDROBE SERVICE
SHUTTLE SERVICE
On Sunday a will be available SHUTTLE SERVICE continuous (in collaboration with transport service Verona - ATV) from 7.00 am to 3.30 pm which will connect the EXPO area to the departure/arrival area.

TIME LIMIT
The time limit to finish the race is set in 6 hours.
Athletes who run slower and who do not respect the time limit will be required to observe the rules of the road code.
TIMING
The timing service will be performed by TDS - Time Data Service by means of an active microchip which also allows the actual time achieved to be recorded.
The chip is tightly personal and cannot be entrusted to another athlete.
The intermediate times of each athlete will be recorded in several points of the course to guarantee the correct drafting of the rankings.
The chip is disposable.
REFRESHMENTS
There will be 8 refreshment points as per the WA regulation
Distribution of drinks in bottles (only loose cap, to be thrown near the tables of the volunteers).
Managed by volunteer staff.
From 25km onwards solid food can be found.
*It is recommended to bring your own personal gel
WC
The Wc sercice will be available in Piazza Cittadella (300m from the start/finish area) and in the refreshment points along the route.
HEALTH SERVICE
Along the way, assistance will be guaranteed on the basis of the health plan structured by the Italian Red Cross.
RETIRED ATHLETES SERVICE
For athletes who have to withdraw, "broom" cars are provided, which will accompany the athletes in difficulty up to the finish area.
RANKINGS
The rankings will be drawn up with the detection of times in gun time by TDS.
It will be possible to view the rankings on the official website of TDS at the end of the event.
DIPLOMA OF PARTICIPATION
The diplomas will be downloadable from the TDS website starting from the day following the event.
AWARDS
The awards will take place on Sunday in Piazza Bra (Arrival Area)

Schedules in definition
To collect the prize show a document to prove your identity.
Near the withdrawal area it will be possible to view the final classification.
Caution:
Prizes can only be collected at the time of the award ceremony.
In the event of failure to collect the winners, no written or verbal communication will be given.
Undelivered prizes will not be shipped to your home.
Cash prizes will be paid exclusively by bank transfer or other so-called traceable method, cash payments are not foreseen.

RACE SERVICES NOT AVAILABLE
In case of non-participation in the race, the registration fees will not be refunded.
However, the athlete unable to participate in the race is offered two alternatives:
-
transfer the registration to the Verona Marathon 2024, upon payment of a supplement of €10.00 for secretarial rights and upon written communication by November 10, 2023.
-
transfer the registration to the Verona Marathon 2023 to another personupon payment of a supplement of €10.00 for secretarial rights and upon notice by November 10, 2023.

The person registered as a replacement must provide all personal information relating to the membership as if it were a new registration. A new available bib number will be assigned.

FAILURE TO PARTICIPATE
IMAGE RIGHT
By signing the registration form for the Verona Marathon, the athlete, from now on, expressly authorizes the organization to use free of charge still and/or moving images portraying his person and taken on the occasion of his participation at the Verona Marathon.
This authorization to use your image must be understood as granted for an indefinite period and without territorial limits all over the world, for use in various publications and films, including, by way of example and not limited to, promotional and/or advertising materials and made on all media.
The organization may also transfer the rights of use provided for in this agreement to third parties, its institutional and commercial partners.
PRIVACY
By signing the Verona Marathon registration form, the participant accepts that personal data will be processed exclusively for purposes strictly connected to participation in the sporting event, in particular:
1. to formalize the registration to the events and for all connected and consequential fulfilments;
2. to send the update newsletter on the status of activities and updates related to the event (such as, for example, delays, route changes, regulation updates);
3. for updates related to the event, including the possibility of printing your own participation diploma yourself;
4. for updates relating to the activities of the Organization as defined above;
5. for entering personal data in the company computer databases;
6. for fulfilmentsand obligations established by laws, regulations and community regulations or
by provisions issued by authorities legitimated by the law and by supervisory bodies e
control;
The provision of data is mandatory for the achievement of the purposes related to registration and the obligations established by laws or other regulations, and is necessary for the correct establishment and continuation of the established relationship.

DISCLAIMER
You acknowledge that participating in this event is potentially dangerous and that you should not register and participate unless you are medically fit and adequately trained.
The participant assumes full and complete responsibility for any injury or accident that may occur while traveling to or from the event.to, during the event or while in the places where the event takes place. He is also aware of the risks associated with participation in this event, such as (by way of example and not limited to) falls, contact with other participants, effects of wind, traffic and road conditions, and therefore assumes responsibility for them .
The participant, for himself and for his heirs and executors, hereby renounces, frees and exempts forever the organizers of the event, gthe sponsors, promoters and each of their agents, representatives, successors and executors, and all other persons in any way associated with this event, (hereinafter "the Organization" from any liability, claim, action and damages which may make moves against them as a result of your participation in this event, or in any way connected with it.
The participant understands that this release includes any claim for facts caused by the negligence, action or default of any of the aforementioned parties.
DECLARATION OF RESPONSIBILITY
By signing the registration form, the athlete declares that he knows and accepts the VERONA MARATHON regulations, published on the website www.veronamarathon.it and that he is 18 years of age on the date of the event.
It also expressly declares under theown responsibility, not only for having declared the truth (art. 2 law 04/01/1968 n° 15 as modified by art. 3 paragraph 10 law 15/05/1997 n° 127), but to exempt the organizers from any liability, both civil and criminal, for damages to persons and/or things caused by him or derived from him. Disclosure Art. 13 Legislative Decree 196/2003 – Protection of privacy
I am aware that participating in the VERONA MARATHON is potentially a risky activity.
I also declare that I register voluntarily and I am also responsible in the case of registration of a minor, of whom I am a parent or legal guardian, carried out by me.
I assume all the risks deriving from my participation in the event: falls, contacts with vehicles, with others
participants, spectators or otherwise, weather conditions, including torrid heat, extreme cold and/or humidity, traffic and road conditions, any type of well-known risk assessed by me and any consequences deriving from illnesses and/or injuries suffered or caused to himself or to third parties, also attributable to unsuitable physical condition, which may occur during and after participation in the event.
I therefore declare that I waive, now and for the future, on my behalf and that of the minor of whom I am a parent or responsible, any claim for compensation and indemnification in reaction to the above.
I release and release, to the fullest extent permitted by the mandatory rules in force, the Organizing Committee of the VERONA MARATHON, GAAC 2007 VERONAMARATHON ASD, ASI, all Sponsors and Partners of the event, their respective representatives, successors, officers, directors, members, agents and employees of the aforementioned Companies, of all present and future claims or liabilities of any kind, known or unknown, deriving from my participation in the event and from that of those who participate under my responsibility.
DISCLAIMER
The organization reserves the right to modify these regulations at any time in order to guarantee a better organization of the competition, after having communicated it and obtained approval from FIDAL.
For anything not covered by this regulation, the statutory technical rules of FIDAL and the GGG apply
Any changes to services, places and times will be duly communicated to the registered athletes or will be reported on the website www.veronamarathon.it
The documentation containing the essential information for picking up the bib and for taking part in the race will be sent by the organization to each registered athlete.
