REGISTRATION
According to the Sports Events' Rules and Regulations issued by FIDAL (Italian Athletics Federation), athletes willing to take part in the race must be 18 years of age on the day of the competition; no other restriction is imposed upon registration. Registration rules vary according to the runner’s status:
E' previsto un cancello orario di chiusura per il percorso della Marathon al km 18,000. Dopo 2 h 30' dal via (ore 12,00) tutti gli atleti verranno obbligatoriamente deviati sul percorso Half Marathon. L'atleta iscritto alla Veronamarathon che per qualsiasi motivo decidesse, al bivio, di deviare sul percorso Halfmarathon verrà inserito nella classifica Halfmarathon; mentre l'iscritto all'Halfmarathon che deviasse sul percorso Marathon verrà squalificato.
FOREIGN ATHLETES RESIDENT OUTSIDE ITALY
a) Members of foreign Athletics’ Associations affiliated with either IAAF or IPC must provide a copy of their membership card upon registration.
b) Athletes who are neither resident in Italy nor members of any of the abovementioned associations must provide the health certification form issued by ASD VERONAMARATHON available at www.veronamarathon.it .
Please fill in and sign your form and send it back to us by e-mail (as an attachment) or fax. The form must be filled in and signed according to legislation enforced in your country.
FOREIGN ATHLETES RESIDENT IN ITALY
a) Members of FIDAL and CIP (and affiliated associations) must provide a copy of their updated 2010 FIDAL or CIP membership card.
WHEELCHAIR AND HANDBIKE
They can race only on the halfmarathon course. Members of FIDAL and IPC (International Paralimpic Committee) and affiliated associations must provide a copy of their updated 2010 FIDAL or IPC membership card.
In any case they must provide the health form provided by ASD VERONAMERATHON upon registration on www.veronamarathon.it to be given at the collection of the bib.
In case of assistance by a personal caretaker riding a bicycle please ask for a plate to be prepared in advance by the Organization.
IN LINE SKATERS
They can race only on the halfmarathon course.
In any case they must provide the health form provided by ASD VERONAMERATHON upon registration on www.veronamarathon.it to be given at the collection of the bib.

VALIDATION OF REGISTRATION:

Registration will be considered valid only if it is completed by payment proof, number of FIDAL membership card or by health certificate.
REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION
Beginning from February 1st 2010, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to those athletes having paid and sent all necessary documentation.
The confirmation email must be downloaded and printed, in order to collect the bib number at Marathon Village.
Confirmation letters will not be sent by regular post. For this reason you are kindly asked to fill your e-mail address in a clear and readable way.
Athletes who have not completed their registration and validation procedure for any reason may receive their bib at the “pending desk” in Marathon Village
BIB NUMBER AND RACE PACKET
Participants must personally pick up bib number and race packet at the Marathon Village
Saturday February 20th from 10:00 to 20:00
LEFT LUGGAGE SERVICE
Participants may take advantage of the left luggage service. The bag containing your clothing must be posted with the adhesive label which you collect with the number bib.
The Organization guarantees the most attention upon collecting and giving back the bags, but it denies any liability for any loss.
PACEMAKERS
The Organization will provide a team of qualified race assistants who will run the marathon at a constant pace in order to cut the finish line in defined time.
Running close to them you can crash the wall of:
3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:30, 5:00.
In the start area the pacers will be easily seen.
MAXIMUM TIME
The time limit are:
- Half marathon 3:00 (hours)
- Marathon 6:00 (hours)
WITHDRAWAL FROM THE RACE
If you wish to withdraw from the race, make sure you reach one of the points along the route at km 10 – km 15 – km. 21,097 – km 25 km. 30 – km. 35.
Shuttle-buses depart from these meeting points to the arrival area, depending on the race in progress.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Medical assistance and aid stations will be guaranteed all along the racecourse.

IMAGE RIGHTS
As a registered participant in the VERONAMARATHON, each athlete expressly authorizes the organization, together with its sponsors and partners, to use fixed or moving images taken of him/her during the VERONAMARATHON.
Authorization is unlimited and may be used the world throughout or included in all sort of mediums, such as promotional and/or advertising materials, publications and videos -as current laws permit-, for the timeframe foreseen by current laws and rules.
MISCELLANEOUS
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to vary any clause stipulated in the current Rules and Regulations at any time, due to force majeure.

BABY VERONAMARATHON (NON COMPETITIVE RACE) 6 - 12 km
The 6 - 12 km non competitive race brings together youngsters and families and all those who wish to visit the beauties of the town of Verona, running or walking for health and amusement.
The start will be given immediately after the start of the competitive Marathon.
The cost of registration amounts to € 5,00.
Registration are possible at the Veronamarathon start area on:

Sunday February 21st from 7:00 to 8:45
